A set of Omask painting masks in 1:72 scale for the kit of the Messerschmitt Me 262 A jet fighter. It is an accessory, not a model: the self-adhesive masks follow the exact shape of the canopy glazing and of the other areas that need to be cleanly separated during painting. The mask lets you spray sharp frame edges without laborious hand-lining. The set is intended for the Airfix kit.
The masks cover the canopy glazing and any other features, so that after spraying there is a clean transition between the frame color and the clear glass. The material holds well, follows curves and leaves no sticky residue when removed, which saves both time and nerves compared with masking with tape.
Clean and degrease the glazing, move the mask with tweezers and press it down carefully all around the frames. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Remove the masks while the paint is freshly tacky, carefully and at an acute angle.
This is an accessory – a set of painting masks. The Airfix base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
