Omask 1:72 Bf 109 K, masking plugs for the landing gear bays (for Eduard) are shaped foam plugs that are pressed into the landing gear bays and protect them during spraying. It is neither a model nor a set of self-adhesive masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is modeling accessory for masking, not a kit. The set contains shaped plugs of flexible foam (EVA), cut to fit the landing gear bays of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K in 1:72 scale as they are in the kits from Eduard. The plugs are simply pressed into the open bay, where the springiness of the material itself holds them: they are not glued and they leave no adhesive marks.
Classic masking of bays with tape and pieces of cotton wool is slow and unreliable in a small scale: paint runs under the edge, the cotton wool sticks, and sharp corners are hard to cover. A shaped plug fills the whole space at once, keeps a clean edge at the rim of the bay and, once the paint has dried, is simply lifted out with tweezers.
For modelers building the Bf 109 K in 1:72 scale from Eduard who want quick, clean masking without improvising. They will be appreciated above all by those who spray with an airbrush in several layers and want the landing gear bays crisply bounded.
An accessory for a model, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Work in a ventilated space when spraying and use a respirator.
