Omask 1:72 B-26 Marauder - landing gear bay plugs are foam plugs that press into the open landing gear bays and protect them while paint is being sprayed. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking aid from the Czech maker Omask, intended for models of the B-26 Marauder bomber in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa and Hobby 2000. It is not a kit or a model - and it is not a set of masks for the glazing either. These are shaped plugs of elastic foam that are simply pressed into the open landing gear bays. They fill the bay completely and keep paint from getting inside while the surrounding surfaces are sprayed. After spraying the plugs are simply pulled out.
Sticking masking tape into a deep bay full of ribs and detail is difficult, and paint likes to creep under it. A foam plug holds by its shape, does not stick, leaves no adhesive residue and can be taken out and reused between the individual coats (primer, top color, varnishes). The finished cavity stays clean in the bay interior color you sprayed earlier.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War, known for its high speed, slim fuselage and more demanding handling on landing. It served in Europe and in the Pacific.
For modelers building the B-26 Marauder in 1:72 scale (Hasegawa, Hobby 2000) who want their landing gear bays clean and free of paint creep. It saves time and nerves compared with masking with tape and cotton wool.
This is a masking aid, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Do not glue the plugs - just press them in and lift them out after spraying.
