An aftermarket detail set, not a kit. The photo-etched brass parts replace simplified plastic elements and add faithful details such as covers, grilles, loops, equipment brackets and the small fittings of a vehicle deployed in Vietnam. The designation B Status refers to the version of the set. Intended for plastic models of the American M551 Sheridan airborne tank in 1:35 scale.
The M551 Sheridan was an American light airborne tank developed for rapid movement and air transport. Its main weapon was a 152 mm gun/launcher able to fire conventional ammunition and guided missiles alike. In the Vietnam War the Sheridans were used above all in the infantry support role; added armor shields and crew fittings are characteristic.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, make the bends on a bending tool and glue the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Work section by section and degrease the surfaces before gluing. The set is suited rather to more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
