A set of replacement flaps cast in resin, intended for the plastic Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 kit in 1:32 scale from Revell. Quickboost is a supplementary line from the Czech manufacturer Aires, focused on small, quickly usable upgrade parts. This is not an aircraft model — the kit is not included in the package. You are buying only replacement parts, which you cut from the casting blocks yourself and fit onto your model.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter and, at the same time, the only Allied jet aircraft to see combat during the Second World War. The F.8 version was the main postwar fighter variant, with a lengthened fuselage, a new fin and an ejection seat; the FR.9 was a reconnaissance conversion with cameras in the nose. Meteors served with a number of countries well into the 1950s.
For modelers who already have the large-scale Meteor kit in 1:32 scale and want to bring its detail up to a higher level. Working with resin calls for a somewhat steady hand — it suits more experienced builders better, but a careful beginner can manage it too on a small part like the flaps.
Before gluing, wash the parts in warm water with dish soap (residue of the mold release agent hinders paint adhesion). Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, not by snapping them off. Sand the resin wet and with respiratory protection — the fine dust is harmful to health. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary plastic cement does not work on resin. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
