Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the ATR-72-600 turboprop regional airliner in 1:144 scale. This is a new tooling. The set contains around a hundred parts on five gray sprues and one clear one, plus a decal sheet for one color scheme.
The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop airliner of French and Italian origin, intended for short routes and smaller airports. The wing is mounted high above the fuselage, the tail surfaces are T-shaped and the propellers have six blades. It is precisely the high wing mounting and the slim fuselage that give the type its unmistakable silhouette. The 600 version is the latest production revision and differs mainly in its modernized flight deck and equipment. Turboprop power is more economical than a jet on short routes, which has won the type a place with dozens of regional carriers.
An airliner stands or falls on a smooth surface, so fill and sand the joints carefully and apply a gloss clear coat before the decals. Either mask the windows or block them from the inside, so that no paint gets into them. The six-blade propellers call for patience when aligning them; glue the blades one at a time and check the angle. Decals settle better on a warm surface and with a drop of decal softener.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
