A trigger type airbrush from the Mr. Procon Boy line of the Japanese manufacturer Gunze (Mr.Hobby) with a gravity feed cup on top and a 0.5 mm nozzle. Unlike a classic airbrush with a button on top it is operated by a trigger and is held like a pistol or a drill.
Instead of a button under the index finger the airbrush has a trigger that you press with your whole fingers. It sits comfortably in the hand, puts less strain on the wrist and is intuitive even during long spraying. That is why it is favored by modelers who spray a lot: large areas, primers and long sessions. It is a double action design, so the trigger controls the flow of air and the flow of paint separately.
The large 0.5 mm nozzle is built for output and area, not for the finest detail. It lets more paint through at once, so it covers large areas evenly and quickly and copes well with thicker materials such as primers and varnishes.
For modelers who often spray larger areas, primers and varnishes and will appreciate comfortable trigger operation. For the finest detail an airbrush with a smaller nozzle serves better.
The airbrush requires a compressor and suitably thinned paint. Clean it thoroughly after every session. A compressor, paints, thinner and cleaner are not included in the package.
