Agama Thinner 50 ml — PL

A thinner from the Czech brand Agama, which makes modeling paints and ancillary chemistry. It is modeling chemistry, not a kit and not a model. The package holds 50 ml. The letter PL denotes a particular type of thinner in the Agama system: according to the manufacturer it is intended for paints and varnishes of the enamel (synthetic) type. The thinner has to be chosen to match the binder of the paint — acrylic, alcohol-based and synthetic paints have different chemistry, and the wrong thinner damages the paint beyond repair (curdling, graining, dissolving of the layer).

Use

• Thinning synthetic (enamel) paints and varnishes to a consistency for brush or airbrush.
• Cleaning brushes and the airbrush after working with paints of the same, that is synthetic, type.
• Adding it gradually in small doses — thin the paint in several steps and keep checking the consistency.
• Do not use it on water-thinnable acrylic paints — for those Agama has its own thinner range intended for acrylics.
• Always make a test on scrap plastic before spraying, not straight on the model.

Who it is for

For modelers who work with synthetic (enamel) paints and varnishes and need to thin them correctly for brush or airbrush. The smaller 50 ml package suits an ordinary working stock for a modeling table at home. If you build exclusively with acrylic paints thinned with water, this thinner is not for you — reach for the thinner for acrylics.
