A tool for making rows of rivets. Run across the surface of a model it creates a regular row of rivets that an injection mold often only hints at or that sanding erases. The manufacturer states that set number 2 has its spacing matched to the large scales 1:35, 1:32 and 1:24. It is not a part of a model but a tool.

Who it is for

For modelers in the large scales who take the surface through to the last detail, and for builders of conversions, where new faces arise with no rivets at all. The work takes practice: try the spacing on an offcut of plastic sheet first and only then on the model, because a finished row cannot be leveled back out again without filler. It is worth guiding the tool along the metal edge supplied so that the row does not wander, and keeping the pressure the same over the whole length, because uneven pressure gives rivets of uneven depth and it shows after spraying. The result stands out especially under a matte base coat and after a wash has been applied, which catches in the rivets.

A model, plastic sheet and filler are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. The points are sharp, so guide the tool away from you and support the part while you work.
