A white prepared for building the RX-78-2 robot, in a semi-gloss execution. The color is mixed in advance, so you do not have to put it together out of several paints, and when topping up with a bottle of the same designation the shades follow on from one another. A semi-gloss surface lies between matte and gloss: it does not reflect light as sharply as gloss, but neither does it swallow the shape the way a deep matte does.
White covers worse than most other shades. On a dark or inconsistently colored surface let a light base go before it, or you will go on layering until the detail is lost in the thin edges. Before painting, wash the ground and degrease it and let it harden, so that the layers do not draw into one another.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use; the pigment settles to the bottom and unstirred paint changes both the covering power and the gloss. Choose the thinner intended for this range and the ratio of thinning according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. With an airbrush work in thin layers with a pause for it to become tacky, and keep the brush for small parts and for touching up edges. Clean the tools right after the work; dried paint is considerably harder to get out of a nozzle.
Panel line highlighting and the fitting of decals sit well on dried white, and a semi-gloss surface is more welcoming to both than a coarse matte. Then unify the whole model with a varnish according to the final look you want. Thinner and cleaner are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
