Semi Matt Aluminium

Vallejo Metal Color - Semi Matt Aluminium

A metallic acrylic (water-thinnable) paint from the Vallejo Metal Color range, 32 ml. Semi Matt Aluminium is an aluminum shade with a semi-matte metal sheen, sitting between the high-gloss and the matte metals. It suits aircraft skins of polished duralumin that do not have a mirror shine. The Metal Color range is built on ultra-fine aluminum pigments, dries fast and preserves the fine detail of a model. The paint has a fine pigment and adheres well to plastic and to metal; the shades can be mixed with one another to grade the areas of a fuselage.

Use

• Applied with an airbrush in thin coats; a brush works too.
• It looks best over a smooth, even base.
• Stir thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Apply metallics rather toward the end because of masking.

Who it is for

For modelers of aircraft and metal vehicles who want a realistic aluminum surface with a semi-matte sheen.

The paint is water-thinnable. Flush the airbrush through after work.
