Special FX - Paint Set

Vallejo Special FX, Paint Set

Special FX is a set of effect paints from the Vallejo Game Color gaming line. It combines rich fluorescent shades and ultra-smooth inks meant for special and lighting effects on miniatures. The paints are water-thinnable acrylics and serve to fill in the atmosphere, from glowing eyes and magical effects to heightening color contrast.

Use

• Object source lighting (OSL) effects: weapons, spells, glowing eyes.
• The fluorescent shades can be used on their own or mixed for a richer glow.
• The inks tint, deepen shadows and soften blends.
• Applied with a brush or an airbrush, thinned and cleaned with water.

Who it is for

Meant for painters of figures and of fantasy and sci-fi miniatures who want to extend their palette with effect paints and lighting techniques. It goes well alongside the basic shade sets.

This is a water-thinnable acrylic. The fluorescent paints are semi-transparent in character and come out best over a light base. Ventilate while spraying.
