Styrene rod 2.00 x 5.00 x 350 mm from AK interactive is a package of eight plastic profiles whose cross section aims at more load-bearing structural elements than the narrower variants of the same range.

Eight pieces of plastic profile with a rectangular cross section of 2.00 x 5.00 mm, each 350 mm long. This is material for building, not a kit: you are buying a blank from which you cut exactly what you need. The fifth millimeter of width already makes the profile a noticeably stiffer element that bows far less under its own weight.
A wider profile is worth laying out in advance: sketch the whole structure on paper in pencil and only then cut to it, and you will save material. Bonding two pieces together along the longer side gives you a heavier beam without having to buy another size; the joint has to be bonded with thin cement along its whole length, otherwise it opens up as it dries. The edges are easily rounded with sandpaper over a flat block, which turns a sharp plastic rod into a more convincing wooden beam. Degrease the surface before painting, as styrene holds traces of grease from your hands.
Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package. Store the profiles flat at full length, as a bent piece will not straighten out again.
