Vallejo Surface Primer Grey

The Vallejo gray primer is a water-based acrylic-polyurethane primer. It prepares the surface of a model before painting: it evens out the base, improves the adhesion of the paints that follow and preserves even fine detail. It contains no solvents and is not flammable.

Use

  • It is applied with an airbrush or a brush to plastic, resin, metal and wood.
  • For an airbrush a pressure of roughly 15 to 20 psi is recommended; it can be thinned as needed with the designated thinner or with a flow improver.
  • It dries quickly and forms a firm, continuous film resistant to abrasion.
  • It is not thinned with a lacquer thinner; tools are cleaned with water.
