The paintwork of today's sports cars usually has more layers: under the color there tends to be an undercoat that determines the resulting depth, and over it a heavy layer of clear coat. On a model this is imitated in much the same way: a light primer, thin coats of color and finally a gloss clear coat that is polished once it has cured. Without that final clear coat a modern shade never looks the way it should.
Work in a well-ventilated area and wear a respirator while spraying, as an aerosol is created. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of ignition, close the bottle carefully after use and avoid contact with the eyes and the skin.
