Warm Yellow, a Quick Marker (AK interactive) is an acrylic contrast marker with a brush tip: a warm yellow tuned toward orange that lays down color complete with shading in a single stroke. It is not a kit but a coloring marker.
Responsibility details are not available.
Quick Marker from AK interactive is a coloring marker, not a kit. Inside is an acrylic contrast (speed) paint, the same type that AK offers in the bottles of the Quick Gen range, only in a more practical package with a flexible brush tip. It is therefore not a felt marker but a pen that behaves like a brush with its own reservoir of paint. Warm Yellow is a warm yellow shifted toward orange, with a hint of gold.
The paint is deliberately semi-transparent. Once applied it runs and gathers by itself in recesses and engraved detail, where it darkens and makes a shadow, while on raised areas it thins out and stays light. A single application thus gives the color and the shading at the same time, which is where quick comes from. That is also exactly why it needs a light base: it is applied over a white or bone primer. On a dark or black base a contrast paint does not work, because it has nothing to shine through and the effect disappears.
With yellow that is doubly true. Yellow pigment covers worst of all colors, so over a gray or dark primer it comes out dirty and muddied. Over a white base, by contrast, it glows.
For wargaming players and figure collectors who want a quick and usable result without laborious shading, and for modelers doing small detail and touch-ups. Shake the marker well before use and work the tip in on a test surface. The paint is acrylic, that is water-thinnable: the tip and the tools are cleaned with water while the paint is still wet. Once dry it can be overcoated in the usual way.
It is a coloring marker, not a kit. Store out of reach of children and do not run the tip over a rough surface, so that it does not splay. Work in a ventilated room.
