Warsaw Pact Vol. I is a printed publication from the Kagero publishing house among aviation literature. It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model but a book to read.
Responsibility details are not available.
The first volume of a two-part title that the Kagero publishing house placed in its aviation book series. It is literature under the aircraft branch — a text, then, and not a model. The publisher brings out a second volume alongside this one, and both are a separate item.
What the Warsaw Pact was
The Warsaw Pact was a military alliance of the Eastern Bloc states that came into being in 1955 and was dissolved in 1991. For a modeler it is shorthand for a whole body of hardware and a whole visual world: Soviet designs, license-built and home-grown machines of the individual member countries, type designations written a little differently in each army, and paint schemes markedly unlike Western practice.
For modelers building Eastern Bloc aircraft, for readers interested in postwar aviation and for collectors of book series. The text is written factually, as a work of history and engineering.
