Eight acrylic shades for Japanese army armored vehicles, with the early as well as the late camouflage palette.
Responsibility details are not available.
The camouflage of the Imperial Japanese Army changed markedly during the war and the contents of the package follow that change. The early period of the years 1937 to 1942 stood on a khaki base, over which irregular areas of tea brown and olive green were applied; the boundaries between them were emphasized by narrow yellow stripes, a detail you will not find with other armies.
The late period of the years 1943 to 1945 started from a quite different base. It was replaced by the color of parched grass, over which grass green and earth brown appeared. The last one runs through both periods and is a practical linking shade if you are building several vehicles for one display case.
The Japanese shades moreover have their original names and the data give them with every paint. For a modeler that is practical, because period sources and Japanese publications work with these names and not with numbers.
The paints belong to an acrylic range tuned for applying with a brush. With vehicles that makes sense: a large part of the work is filling in small details, and the consistency of this range is built so that no bristle marks stay on a flat part.
