Tamiya X-1 Black 10 ml – a gloss acrylic paint

A water-based acrylic modeling paint from Tamiya in a practical 10 ml pack. Being in the X range means a gloss finish. X-1 is a deep gloss black, one of the most universal colors in the modeling palette. The paint is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush and while fresh it can be washed off with water.

Use

  • A basic gloss black for bodies, running gear and areas that call for a deep gloss.
  • Picking out details, frames and small parts.
  • Mixing with other shades of the X and XF ranges to darken them and create your own tones.
  • Applying with a brush and spraying with an airbrush.
  • Thinning and cleaning tools with Tamiya X-20A thinner.
