Tamiya XF-90 Red Brown 2 (10 ml)

A water-thinnable acrylic modeling paint from Tamiya in the red brown 2 shade (Red Brown 2). The XF designation means a matte (flat) surface. It is an updated shade developed as a camouflage color for a disruptive pattern over the base German yellow XF-88 Dark Yellow 2. It forms the brown component of the typical three-tone camouflage of German vehicles of the Second World War. The paint has a realistic matte cast and suits brush as well as airbrush. The package holds 10 ml.

Use

• The brown component of the three-tone German camouflage of the war: it is applied as patches over the base yellow XF-88 Dark Yellow 2, complemented by the green XF-89 Dark Green 2.
• Apply with a brush, or thin it for the airbrush with Tamiya X-20A thinner and spray in thin coats.
• It holds on the usual modeling plastics; ideally over a primer coat.
• For soft patch edges, spray with an airbrush from a slight distance or over masking putty.
• Stir the paint thoroughly before mixing; close the bottle tightly after use.
