Enamel shades mixed for model cars answer a different brief from armour colours. What a car needs is saturated body tones that flow out into a smooth film, backed by matt and satin colours for the engine bay, the chassis and the cabin. Slow drying is an advantage on a bonnet: the paint keeps levelling after the brush has gone, so no stroke marks are left standing in the surface. Long open time is also what makes this type the easiest paint to brush into a cabin or an engine bay without leaving ridges, and it needs its own solvent both for thinning and for washing a brush out afterwards, from thinners and brush cleaners. The bodies it goes on are in car and formula model kits, the neighbouring ranges in enamel model paints.
