28mm Light Cavalry 1450-1500 (12 Figures) is a set of twelve multi-part plastic figures of late medieval light cavalry.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of twelve unpainted figures of light cavalry of the period 1450 to 1500, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: riders, horses, heads and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses together as you like. Cavalry sets tend to hold fewer figures than infantry ones, because each figure takes up substantially more room on the table and is more work to assemble.
Light cavalry at the end of the fifteenth century did not serve for a frontal charge against a close formation but for reconnaissance, for pursuing the defeated and for raids on supply columns. The riders wore only light protection, often just a helmet and a quilted gambeson, and relied on speed. It was this cavalry that decided which side knew where the enemy was moving, which in an age without maps or watchtowers was an enormous advantage.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Paint the rider separately and seat him on the horse only at the end. Vary the coat of the horses between the figures; across twelve riders a uniform coloring would look unnatural.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
