28mm Franco-Prussian War - French Infantry Advancing (38 Figures) is a set of thirty-eight multi-part plastic figures of French infantry advancing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-eight unpainted figures of French infantry of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and 1871, in 28 millimeter size, in poses for the advance. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The sister set in the same range builds instead on a firing line.
The French army entered the war of 1870 with a good infantry rifle but with an outdated organization and a slow concentration. It was in exactly this that the Prussians outpaced it: they were able to bring their troops to the frontier faster and in greater numbers. French infantry wore dark blue coats and red trousers, and its appearance stayed practically unchanged until the First World War.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the red trousers over a light base, or the shade will go dark. Advancing figures stand out when you add dust to the boots and the bottom of the trousers.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
