Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-eight unpainted figures of American Continental infantry of 1776 to 1783, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. For an army that never achieved a uniform appearance, that is a great advantage.
The Continental Army was raised on the march and its equipment matched that. Blue coats with colored facings only came in during the later phase of the war; at first the soldiers served in whatever they had brought with them. The training on the Prussian model that the army received in the winter at Valley Forge turned it into a force able to stand up to British infantry in an open line.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Vary the coats between the soldiers; with this army the lack of uniformity is historically documented and the force gains credibility from it.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
