A plastic kit of the British Bedford light truck in the MWR signals form in 1:72 scale from the maker IBG. This is not a combat vehicle but the kind of truck no unit did without: it carried a radio set and served as a mobile command and signals post.
The Bedford MW was among the most widespread British trucks of the light cargo category. It was built in many forms from a flatbed to a tanker, and the signals version with a closed box body was one of the most characteristic. Inside sat the operators at the radio, and outside the conspicuous antenna masts stood on the truck. These vehicles served from North Africa to western Europe and their silhouette is among the typical images of British columns.
In a small scale the parts are small, so work with a sharp knife and glue drop by drop. The box body is best painted separately from the chassis. British military green or a desert shade stands out with a fine lightening of the horizontal surfaces and a dust effect around the wheels. The antennas can be suggested with thin wire or a bristle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
