Masks for the glazing and metal stickers of the badges for a model of the Hyundai Grandeur GN7 in 1:24 scale for the Academy kit. Sharp window frames and legible badges without painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks for the glazing supplemented by metal stickers of the badges for a model of the Hyundai Grandeur GN7 passenger car in 1:24 scale. It is neither a kit nor an accessory that would be glued inside the model: the masks are removed once the painting is done and sharp window frames stay on the body, while the metal stickers replace a decal of the badge. The manufacturer has designated the set for the Academy kit.
Window frames are among the most demanding places on car models. Masking by hand with tape around a curve almost always ends in a wavy line and a bleed of paint, whereas a cut mask beds in precisely and all the frames are of the same width. A metal sticker of a badge has the advantage over a decal that it genuinely reflects light, so the badge on the finished model looks like metal and not like a printed picture.
First degrease the glazing and the area under the sticker. Lift the masks off the sheet with a sharp point, seat them with tweezers and press them down with a wooden stick. Apply the paint in thin coats and remove the mask while it is fresh. Seat the sticker at the very end, once the clear coat and the polishing are finished.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The Academy kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
