A pack of masks and bay plugs for the Wellington bomber in 1:72 scale. It contains a mask for the glazing as well as foam plugs for the landing gear bays. The target kit is the Airfix Wellington.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pack brings together two aids that are used side by side during the build. The first is a mask for the glazing made of yellow masking tape, cut exactly to the shape of the canopy and turret frames. The second is a set of foam plugs for the landing gear bays, which are pushed inside before spraying. The set is aimed at the kit of the Wellington bomber in the Mk.Ia, Mk.Ic and Mk.II versions from Airfix.
The Wellington has glazing divided into many small panes and, on top of that, a front and a rear gun turret. Masking by hand with tape is slow here, and a single crooked edge is visible on the finished model at first glance. Pre-cut parts take the drudgery away and keep a clean line on the frame.
Masking is the least popular part of a build and at the same time the part by which the result is judged. Pre-cut parts cut it down to minutes and, above all, guarantee that the frame will be the same width everywhere. The plugs do the same for the landing gear bays, where tape can hardly be fitted at all.
It suits anyone who is building this bomber and wants the masking solved with a single purchase. Both parts can also be bought on their own; this package has them together.
The Airfix kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
