An add-on set for the RWD-13 in 1:72 scale from Brengun brings photo-etched metal parts and resin castings together. It is intended for the kit from RS Models and is not a kit itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
The manufacturer describes the set as a combination of photo-etched metal parts and resin castings for the RWD-13 kit from RS Models. It is therefore not a model of an aircraft but an add-on that gives a finished machine fine detail where injection-molded plastic runs into its limits. The set comes from the Czech manufacturer Brengun.
The RWD-13 was a Polish high-wing monoplane from the second half of the 1930s, intended for touring and liaison flying. The design, from the circle of RWD designers, was built on a light tube-frame structure with fabric covering, and the occupants were a pilot and two passengers. An air ambulance version also arose, with a berth for a lying patient and with a hinged section of the fuselage through which the stretcher was slid inside. The machines flew in Poland and abroad, and after 1939 some of them carried on in service outside their home country. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject: the large cockpit windows and the slender tube-frame structure reward careful work.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel on a hard surface and fold them in an etch bender. First wash the mold release agent off the resin castings, cut off the casting blocks and level the surfaces with abrasive paper while protecting your airways. Glue both with cyanoacrylate glue, as cement for plastic does not work here, and use a filler primer before painting.
This is an add-on for a model. The base RWD-13 kit from RS Models, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
