A resin set of twenty figures of airport ground staff in 1:144 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. The count of twenty figures is given by the manufacturer. The figures are supplied unpainted and are intended for models of airliners and for airport scenes.
An airliner in 1:144 scale looks like a technical drawing in a display case until people appear beside it. Ground staff give a model its scale at once, because everybody knows how tall a person is, and at the same time they explain what is going on at the aircraft: somebody is marshaling, somebody is loading, somebody is checking. At this scale a figure is only about twelve millimeters tall, so the bet is on silhouette and strong colors rather than on facial detail.
Wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and cut them off the casting blocks with a sharp knife; parts this small are safer to paint before they are separated. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It helps to spray a primer and then to work with only two or three shades per figure, because fine gradation will not show at this scale anyway. High-visibility vests in saturated yellow or orange liven up a scene at once.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
