Responsibility details are not available.
A cast resin set of accessories for the Soviet Tyagach recovery tractor of the 1944 pattern, built on the chassis of the T-34 tank, in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. It holds separate parts of equipment, tools and cargo for the hull of a finished model. The manufacturer lists it as the T 34 Tyagach model 1944 accessories set. The set is not a model of the vehicle.
The Tyagach of the 1944 pattern was a Soviet recovery and towing machine built from a T-34 with its turret removed. In its place there remained a covered space for the crew and tools, with towing gear at the rear. The decision to produce it came in 1944, when Soviet armored units urgently needed machines to tow damaged tanks off the battlefield. The vehicles remained in service after the war as well.
First rinse the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-tooth saw rather than snapping them. Sanding is better done under water or with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic will not hold on resin. A primer is needed before painting. A recovery machine can take strong signs of work, muddy tracks and scuffed paint.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
