Responsibility details are not available.
A cast resin set of accessories for the American FWD Type B army truck of the First World War, 1:35 scale, from the Czech maker Black Dog. It holds separate parts of cargo and equipment for the bed and cab of a finished model. As base kit it names the FWD Type B from ICM. The set is not a model of the vehicle and cannot be built on its own.
The FWD Model B was a three-ton truck with four-wheel drive built by the Four Wheel Drive Auto Company in Wisconsin. It was one of the first genuinely cross-country trucks in series production, and the American and British armies used it on the Western Front as a supply truck and an artillery tractor. A number of the trucks then went on serving with civilian firms into the 1920s.
First rinse the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-tooth saw rather than snapping them. Sanding is better done under water or with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic will not hold on resin. A primer is needed before painting. For a truck of the First World War period, more subdued shades and stronger dust effects work well.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
