Accessories for the M551 Sheridan, Vietnam War, 1:35 (Black Dog) A resin set of accessories and baggage for the Sheridan kit from the brand RFM in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of accessories for building the American M551 Sheridan light tank in its Vietnam War form, in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. The box names as base kit the Sheridan from the brand RFM. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the vehicle; the kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
The M551 Sheridan was an American light air-transportable tank with an aluminum hull and an unusual weapon: a short large-caliber barrel that fired both conventional ammunition and guided anti-tank missiles. In Vietnam it was used to support infantry, and crews modified it to suit themselves, so the vehicles were covered with sandbags, boxes, jerrycans and improvised armor.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing, so that the mold release comes off the surface and the paint holds. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers. Place the accessories dry and try the layout before you glue anything: with baggage, what counts is that it looks laid down rather than stuck on. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. Paint off the model and fit the pieces only once they are finished, and the difference between canvas, metal and wood will then come out. Wear a respirator while sanding.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
