A resin detail accessory in 1:35 scale: a frame for stowing jerrycans on the Panzer III Ausf. M tank. The manufacturer ties it to a particular vehicle, namely to a machine of the tank company of the 3rd SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf at Kharkov in 1943. It is not a model of a tank but a small accessory for a finished model. The manufacturer keeps the set in the version marked with the number 2.
On the Eastern Front the crews of German tanks made their own racks for jerrycans, boxes and gear, because supply was uncertain and the fuel carried on the hull decided the range. Such frames did not come from the factory, they came about at the unit, and that is why they differed from one formation to another. That is precisely why it makes sense that the maker of the accessory ties the set to a particular vehicle and a particular battle: anyone building a model after a surviving photograph gets the frame that really was on it.
The parts are very small and brittle. Separate them with a sharp knife or a fine-toothed saw over a light surface, so that they do not get lost, and level the remains of the supports with a fine file. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting, spray on a thin coat of primer.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
