A 3D-printed Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Firma49. A small armament accessory, not a standalone kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An armament accessory for 1:48 scale: the Browning M2 heavy machine gun in .50 caliber printed at high resolution. It is a single weapon, not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft. In 1:48 the machine gun from the base mold tends to be the coarsest part of the whole build, because an injection mold no longer has enough detail for a part that small. The Czech manufacturer Firma49 supplies the parts unpainted. The number of pieces in the set is not stated here.
The Browning M2 is an American heavy machine gun for a .50 caliber cartridge, that is 12.7 x 99 mm. It grew out of a design by John Browning, commissioned in 1918 on the prompting of an army requirement for a weapon of at least half an inch in caliber. The cartridge arose by enlarging the .30 caliber rifle round and is known today as the .50 BMG. After the M1921 model the designation M2 came in 1933. The lighter aircraft variant AN/M2 became the standard onboard weapon of American aircraft of the Second World War, and the ground version serves to this day.
The parts are small and hard. Separate them from the supports with a sharp scalpel, sand the remnants away and work with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate super glue. Degrease before painting and spray a thin coat of base. In this scale it pays to paint the weapon while still on the print remnant and to break it off only at the end.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
