This is a detailed set of ammunition and accessories for the German 15 cm sIG 33 heavy infantry gun in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of the gun or a kit - the manufacturer gives the content as artillery shells of 15 cm caliber, ammunition and transport boxes and further ammunition accessories. The parts are 3D printed and capture even fine details of the transport containers.
The 15 cm sIG 33 heavy infantry gun was among the standard German infantry weapons of the Second World War and gave the infantry heavy fire support with an effective range of around 4700 meters. Shells of 15 cm caliber were heavy and the crew carried them to the gun by hand, so ammunition and transport containers belonged to the picture of a firing position just as much as the gun itself. The same barrel was on the Bison and Grille self-propelled guns, so the ammunition suits them too.
Cut the printing supports off carefully; the shells are small and break easily at the neck. Protect your airways when sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and apply a primer coat. Contrast benefits the shells: the body in one shade, the brass cartridge case separately. Wooden transport containers will stand out after a dry brush in a lighter tone and a light wash run into the gaps.
