An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:100 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The real subject is the combat machine YZR-8000 MYZR, whose designation covers the Eta and Gamma Type R forms. The set was released as part of the thirtieth anniversary of the game line the machine comes from. The model is supplied unpainted and is built by gluing; the list of parts and armament is given in the instructions in the kit.
MYZR is one of the so-called Virtuaroids, that is piloted combat machines from a Japanese series of games about robot duels. The games of that series are built on one-on-one duels between two machines, so every type has its own armament and its own fighting style. Individual forms of the same type usually differ in exactly that armament and in detail, so the Eta and Gamma Type R designations point at two guises of one machine.
Separate the parts from the sprues with sprue cutters and clean up the sprue nubs with a file and sanding paper. Glue the joints with thin cement for polystyrene and watch the joint knuckles so that they do not get flooded. Apply a primer before painting, spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and pick out the engraved lines with a paneliner. Unify the finished surface with a matte or satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
