Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American Freightliner tractor unit with the tall Aerodyne sleeper in 1:24 scale from the Italian brand Italeri. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue and paints are not included in the package. In 1:24 scale trucks are large models with a richly broken-down chassis, chromed parts and a roomy cab that can be detailed further.
Freightliner is one of the large American truck makers. The form with a cab over the engine and the tall Aerodyne sleeper came about so that a driver on long-distance routes would get proper sleeping space, while the aerodynamic shell reduced fuel consumption at the same time. Tractor units of this type were among the typical images of the American highways of the 1970s and 1980s, and it is precisely this silhouette that is still popular among modelers today.
With trucks it is the gloss that decides everything. It pays to smooth the bodywork and the sleeper and to spray them with a gloss color in several thin coats, and possibly to add a clear coat and polish it. Do not degrease the chromed parts with aggressive products, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), which will not fog the surface. Build and paint the frame and the chassis before you seat the cab. Small cables and hoses can be finished off with wire; detail inside the cab cannot be added once the interior is closed up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
