Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian tractor unit Iveco Stralis Hi-Way in 1:24 scale from Italeri. This release carries the special livery that Iveco prepared for the Abarth racing team. The star of the package is a decal sheet with a checkered pattern; the release takes the plastic sprues from older boxings of the same tractor and adds sprues from further sets to them. The tires are hollow, of flexible vinyl.
The Iveco Stralis Hi-Way is a long-haul tractor unit with a high cab that the Italian brand presented at the start of the second decade of this century and which won the European Truck of the Year title in 2013. The Hi-Way line had the top cab version with a flat floor and two bunks, meant for long-distance haulage. In 2017 Iveco delivered one Stralis Hi-Way in a special livery to the Abarth racing team, and it is exactly that vehicle the model represents.
The cab of a tractor unit has large flat surfaces that give away every irregularity: after filling, spray it with a filler primer and check it under a side light. Apply the gloss lacquers with an airbrush in thin coats and let the lacquer cure thoroughly before the decals. Settle the large checkered decals over a gloss base and help them along with a decal softener so that they conform to the edges. Degrease the chromed parts before gluing. The hollow vinyl tires are not glued with an ordinary cement for plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
