A sheet of national markings on their own for the Typhoon in its late form, as the machines of the Second Tactical Air Force and then of the British Air Forces of Occupation wore them. It is not a sheet with the markings of a particular machine and these are not technical stencils. You will find roundels and fin flashes on it, but not code letters, serial numbers or service lettering. The main distinguishing mark here is the period: the standard markings from May 1942 to January 1945 are listed by the manufacturer as the separate sheet ADD32C103-1, so the two sheets are not interchangeable. Watch the scale, as this sheet is in 1:32.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-engine fighter-bomber that made its name above all in attacks on ground targets in north-western Europe, and it was flown by the squadrons of the Second Tactical Air Force. That formation supported the Allied ground forces and in July 1945 it was renamed the British Air Forces of Occupation; the manufacturer defines the sheet by exactly that period. In this late and postwar period the form of the national markings differed from the wartime state, so for a model the period of the markings is as important as the version of the aircraft.
A decal is applied with water: it is slid into place and settled with a decal fixer. On riveted and curved surfaces a decal softener is added, after which the film is pliable and must not be touched. A smooth gloss coat belongs under a decal, otherwise the edge of the film will go white; once it is dry, varnish the whole thing over.
