A 3D-printed resin set of magazines and ammunition boxes for German 2 cm KwK tank guns in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives nine pieces in the package. The set is meant for filling the fighting compartment of a model or for a diorama with ammunition being replenished; tank magazines differ from anti-aircraft ones, which is why the manufacturer lists them separately.
The 2 cm KwK 30 and KwK 38 guns were carried by German light tanks and armored cars, for example the Panzer II or the eight-wheeled reconnaissance vehicles. They were loaded with magazines that clipped on, which the crew had to keep within reach in the fighting compartment and replenish from boxes stowed in the vehicle. A modeler who opens a hatch or builds a vehicle with an exposed interior therefore misses these parts most of all; without them the space looks empty.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
