A 3D-printed resin set of 32 cm rockets for the German Nebelwerfer rocket launcher and their wooden transport containers in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives six pieces in the package. For the same caliber they also list a comparable set with steel containers, so a choice can be made according to the scene intended.
The 32 cm rocket projectiles were incendiary and were among the heaviest German rocket ammunition. They were fired from a frame carriage, usually straight out of the container they had been transported in, so on a diorama the container and the rocket form a single whole. The wooden form of the container is more rewarding for a modeler than the steel one: wood allows a whole range of shades, a grayed surface, chipped corners and marks from handling, so a varied group arises out of six identical castings.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
