Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the WKO 1943 mark. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the year 1943.
On a German standard jerrycan the maker's mark and the year stamped into the sheet metal are a distinguishing detail by which the container can be placed in a particular period. A modeler who cares about period consistency therefore does not choose jerrycans at random: a scene set in 1943 should carry jerrycans from that time, not from 1939. At the same time it holds true that containers from various makers met in a unit, so a combination of two or three sets is more convincing than ten identical pieces.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
