3D-printed resin crates for 76.2 mm tank ammunition for the Soviet T-34 tank in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer does not give the number of pieces for this item, just as with the sister set of crates for the German KwK 42 weapon. The crates are placed in the fighting compartment of a model, on the hull or into a scene with ammunition being replenished.
Soviet 76.2 mm tank ammunition was transported in wooden crates with metal fittings, and it was stored in them at the unit as well. When a tank replenished its ammunition, the empty crates were left scattered around, and this is a rewarding scene for a diorama: wood offers freedom in painting, from light and new to gray and flaking, so a group that does not look mass-produced can be made from several identical castings.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
