Loudspeakers 1:35 by Plusmodel: eight cast parts and a fret of photo-etched parts. An accessory for a diorama, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A loudspeaker on a pole or on a wall is one of the period marks of public space. Announcements, alarms and propaganda were broadcast from it, so on a diorama it does not serve merely as decoration: it gives the scene tension and at the same time explains why the figures are all looking one way. The set contains eight cast parts and a fret of photo-etched parts from which the thin brackets and mounts are added. It is not a kit but an accessory for a scene.
According to the manufacturer the package contains eight cast parts and a fret of photo-etched parts. A pole, paints and glue are not included. The castings have to be cut from the casting blocks.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up with a file, and sand with respiratory protection. Degrease the photo-etched parts and prime them. Both are bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Leave the inside of the horn markedly darker than the outside, otherwise the loudspeaker looks solid. Add the supply cable with thin wire run along the pole or the wall.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
