1:35 AR-15/M16/M4 FAMILY-M4RAS Weapons

Weapon set AR-15/M16/M4, M4RAS version 1:35 (Trumpeter)

A plastic set in 1:35 scale containing several miniature models of the modern American assault rifle of the AR-15/M16/M4 family in the M4RAS version, that is the M4 carbine with a Rail Adapter System for mounting optics, lights, grips and other accessories. It is not a vehicle model but a set of small arms with which you can arm figures, complete the interior of a vehicle or bring a diorama on a contemporary subject to life. Convincingly made weapons with fine detail lend credibility to figures and to a scene. The parts are injection-molded in plastic and are glued like an ordinary kit.

The real subject

The AR-15/M16/M4 family is one of the most widespread modern assault weapons of Western armies. The M4 carbine is a shortened and lightened version of the M16 rifle; the version with rails makes it easy to attach optical sights, lights and forward grips to suit a particular task. That is exactly why it appears in countless configurations with the infantry and with special forces.

Building and painting tips

• Cut the small parts from the sprues carefully and clean them up, gluing with liquid cement for plastic.
• Apply a suitable primer before painting.
• Shade the body of the weapon in matte black to anthracite and set the stocks and grips apart.
• A dry brush and a fine wash will bring out the edges and the texture of the rails.

Who the set is for

• For modelers of figures and vehicles on contemporary military subjects in 1:35.
• For diorama builders who need convincing modern weapons.
• For collectors of details used to working with small parts.

This is an accessory plastic weapon set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
