This is a turned metal barrel of the long German 7.5 cm gun of L/70 length, in 1:35 scale, from Aber. It is not a vehicle model but a precise replacement part in place of the plastic barrel. It is intended for models of the German Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer in the L/70 (V) version, known as the Lang.
The Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (V) was a late version of the tank destroyer on the Panzer IV chassis, armed with the long 7.5 cm gun of L/70 barrel length. That weapon, the same as the gun of the Panther tank, gave the vehicle high penetration. The letter V denotes the production version, and Lang refers to the long barrel.
The turned barrel is perfectly straight, with a faithful bore and muzzle shape, and it needs neither drilling nor the gluing of two halves. Separate the part from the casting stub, degrease it and bond it with super glue. Prime the metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
