This is a single figure, not a set: an American sniper in 1:35 scale. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its figures from photopolymer resin. 1:35 is the most rewarding scale for figures, because it carries genuinely fine detail, and with a sniper that goes double: what counts is the posture, the position of the hands on the weapon and the camouflage items that settle the figure into the terrain. It is supplied unpainted and with print supports.
A sniper works quietly, from cover and most often lying or crouched. His kit is adapted so that it does not break up his outline: subdued colors, camouflage items on the helmet and the weapon, muted accessories. That is what tells him apart from ordinary infantry at a glance, and it is that distinction which makes such a figure a rewarding subject.
Wash the print resin residue off the figure, cut the print supports away and sand the marks with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). On resin a primer is a must. With camouflage clothing, build the pattern from a light base toward darker areas and let the color carry over onto the kit as well, so that the figure blends into the terrain of the scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
