About product

Aber 1:35 German 1.4 m aerials (3 pcs)

This is a metal detail set from the Polish brand Aber, not a model of a vehicle. The package holds three antenna rods corresponding to a length of 1.4 m in reality, possibly with photo-etched mounts; a metal antenna replaces a thick plastic part and looks faithfully thin.

What the set is for

Radio antennas 1.4 m long were part of the equipment of a number of German tanks of the Second World War and on a model they form a prominent vertical detail. Drawn metal holds its shape, is springy and takes handling better than plastic. The accessory suits models of German armored vehicles such as the Tiger, the Panther, the Panzer IV or the StuG.

Fitting tips

Shorten the rod to the length needed, bend any mounts over a metal edge and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease before painting and apply a metal primer.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers of German armored vehicles
  • Faithful and durable antennas instead of plastic
  • Completing models in 1:35 scale

An accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
