A precisely turned metal barrel from Aber in 1:35 scale. The version without a muzzle brake is intended for models of the Panther tank in the Ausf. A, D and G versions, and for the Panther II project. It is not a model or a kit but a replacement part that, on a finished kit, replaces the split plastic barrel with a single solid piece of metal.
The long 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun with a barrel length of L/70 was the main armament of the German Panther medium tank and became known for its high muzzle velocity and penetration. The slender barrel 70 calibers long is a visible feature of a model, on which even small inaccuracies stand out.
Turned metal guarantees a perfectly straight barrel with no seams, which on split plastic parts call for filling and sanding. Fit the part in place of the plastic barrel and glue it with super glue. Degrease the metal before spraying paint and cover it with a primer for metal.
This is a metal add-on set, not the model itself. A matching kit, which is not included in the package, is needed for the build.
