Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the EHA 1943 mark. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the year 1943.
A jerrycan has large smooth surfaces that take more work than most small accessories. After the primer coat the base shade of the vehicle suits them, then a dark glaze into the embossed ribs and finally a light dry brush on the edges and the handles, which were rubbed the most. The maker's mark and the year in the sheet metal stand out if a dark wash is applied to them and wiped off the surface at once. Fuel jerrycans tended to be dirtier than water ones, which is another way of telling a group apart.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
